What are blue roses?
According to InterRose, blue roses currently "just do not exist, despite plenty of scientists attempting to change the DNA of roses in order to create, for lack of a better term, blueness. The reason that a, forgive the pun, "true blue" rose may never be produced is that the blue pigment (delphinidin) is not naturally present in roses. However till that glorious day befalls the rose world we have to make do with white rose buds that are cut specially from the plant and cultivated in blue solution for a short period so that the blue colour can grow into the petals as well as the leaves and stems."
